Services for Adults

Adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) have many services they can choose. Review this page for a list of services and service providers. 

DD Services

  1. Independent Facilitation

    In Spring 2024, the Division introduced a new service called Independent Facilitation. This service is Conflict-Free Case Management (CFCM) provided by the Division. This service will be provided by a new team member called an Independent Facilitator (IF). The IF's main goal is to help people become more involved and independent in their community.   2. Self-Directed Supports 

    Self-directed supports are a way for adults receiving DD services to have more control about how they spend service funding. In addition to setting their own goals and deciding their own schedule, individuals will hire their own support staff and manage their service budget. Learn more on the self-directed supports webpage

  3. Community Supports

    Community supports are DD services that help adults with I/DD become more independent and involved in the community. The two community support services offered to individuals are Community-Based Supports and Center-Based Supports. Learn more on the community supports webpage.

  5. Transportation 

    Adults with I/DD can get transportation services to become more active in the community. Individuals can choose how much of their DD funding they want to use for transportation and decide how many trips they need. Learn more on the transportation webpage

  6. Employment 

    Employment supports are DD services that focus on work. These services help adults with I/DD find meaningful jobs in the community. The employment services include:

    • Job Coaching and Retention 
    • Group Supported Employment
    • Personal Supports in the Workplace
